Stainless Steel 317 Sheet and Plates is an austenitic steel with high corrosion resistance, especially in acidic environments. Its composition contains about 18% chromium, 13% nickel and 3-4% molybdenum, giving excellent resistance to pitting and cracking corrosion The addition of molybdenum improves its performance in hazardous chemicals. Mechanical properties include tensile strength of 485-620 MPa, yield strength of 170-290 MPa, and elongation of 40-50%.
