Its composition includes 16-18% chromium, 10-14% nickel, 2-3% molybdenum, and minimal carbon (≤0.03%). It offers excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, particularly in chloride environments. Mechanical properties include high tensile strength (around 485 MPa), yield strength (around 170 MPa), and elongation of approximately 40%. Its low carbon content prevents carbide precipitation, making it ideal for high-temperature and highly corrosive applications.
